Upon arrival, please come to the forth floor and relax in suite 420-i. This is a small waiting room where the acupuncturist will meet you each time you come for treatment. Vending machines are available if you would like a drink or snack while you wait.
During your first appointment, we will discuss your health history and goals for treatment, as well as any concerns or questions that you may have. We will insert needles and (typically) hook up a low level electrical pulse to them. This feels very similar to using a TENS unit, and increases the effectiveness of acupuncture in most cases. Please let your acupuncturist know if you have a pacemaker or any other internal electrical device. You will then relax for 20-30 minutes before the needles are removed.
